"The Fox and the Egg"

“The fox and the egg” is a story for children aged 7-8 years onwards.  Written by Martin Brown and illustrated by me.  Let's meet the characters...

A clever, funny owl called Oswald meets Caramelina, a fairy with borrowed dragonfly wings, who guards a very hot egg that’s burning the grass beneath his tree.

Meanwhile, Reynata, the fox, has lost her cubs and comes to ask Oswald and Caramelina to help her find them. In return, she offers to look after the egg before it hatches.  Agreeing to swap their problems, her new friends fly off in search of her cubs leaving her in charge.  Reynata cuddles the egg but finds it unbearably hot and wonders if she’s made a mistake.

Is it possible for a fox to be friends with a bird? Can a fox look after an egg and keep it safe, without being tempted to eat it? And, will the cubs be reunited with their mum? Read on and find out.

Available in paperbook and Kindle versions from Amazon.
