New work! Girl with Kittens

I never thought I would finish this painting.

I started it in November, and my intention was to paint a girl with her playful kittens.

But, at the beginning of December, my cat got sick, and just before Xmas, he passed away .

This weekend, I felt like I wanted to complete this work, I immersed myself into it listening to music, without thinking too much.

The finished painting is very different from the initial idea: a melancholic girl, gazing into the infinite, with smiley kittens climbing onto her.

I added the words "Forever in my heart".

This painting is for my lovely cat "Shifu"
